We are seeking a self-motivated and staunch advocate for the Union membership and working families.The Political Organizer will be responsible for supporting political and legislative priorities of the OSIDCL and its affiliated Local Unions. These priorities focus on enacting and supporting worker friendly public policies at both the State and Local levels of government.
Additional responsibilities include leading the Union’s electoral campaign work. This involves member engagement and mobilizing in support of strategic pro-worker electoral priorities and candidates and building Laborer power at the ballot box.

In December of 2024 we mailed out a letter to all Construction members that included the updated Hiring Hall rules. The Hiring Hall changes took effect January 1, 2025. We have worked with members to allow time for them to get training classes scheduled as required by the new rules. You are receiving this letter because you may not meet the requirements since the new rules went into effect. Consistent with the new rules, we will be moving you off the list you are on by June 1, 2025, if you fail to achieve the training or work requirements necessary to maintain your position.
